We already won!!!

The battle of the mind is only a test of your faith in the word of God. If we remain steady fast and unmoveable on the promised word in the bible, the victory is ours. However, if we speak the opposite of God's word we lose the battle because we believed the lie of the devil. David believed in his covenant with God more than the size of Goliath. As a result he got the victory!!!!

The Battle of the Mind

The Goliaths in our lifes start with a though from the enemy. The enemy is the devil. Let me define what and who Goliath is. Goliath is a thought that poses as insurmountable barrier to my objective. The word of God says, "As a man thinkest in his heart, so is he". Where does that thought originate from?
The word of God says we, mankind, are made in God's image and after his likeness. The bible also says, God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. So man is a spirit and has a soul, and lives in a body. The devil is a spirit. Thus, there is a spirit realm as well as a physical realm.
So back to the insurmonutable thought in the mind. The devil says in your mind, you're going to die because of cancer. Or he says you're going under because you lost your job. We start to focus on his thoughts and it grows bigger and bigger and bigger. God says for you submit yourself unto God, resist the devils thoughts and he will flee from you. Jesus is our example of how to resist the devil. He quoted the word, "it is written".
We must know what is written in the word of God. The word of God is the sword of the Spirit. It is an offensive weapon to run the devil out of our minds. Read the word, study the word, speak the word and you will kill the Goliaths in your Life.
